How to check if Web Server is serving compressed pages or Not

We can check whether the webpages are being serves as compressed or or not from following URL online



But if you are on command line there is a better way to know that like shown below


curl -I -H 'Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate' http://www.celebtricity.com

you can notice in last line as Content-Encoding : gzip in some cases you will notice Content Type : gzip which means the browser is serving compressed contents .
